Catherine E. Patterson was born on March 7, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois to Thomas and Ann (nee Heneghan) Kerrigan. She died Monday, August 2, 2021, at Lutheran Home & Services in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Catherine worked as a manager for Chicago Title Insurance before retiring. She was active in the community and enjoyed playing bridge and mahjong with her friends from Encore and was active in the Friday Book Review Club. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and entertaining family and friends.

Catherine is survived by her son, Michael (Kara) Patterson; her grandchildren Joe, Mary, Caitriona, and Stephen: her sisters Mary (Duffy), Ann (Tuohy), and Barbara (Prendergast); and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen W. Patterson her son, Stephen T. Patterson; her parents and her brothers Martin and Patrick Kerrigan.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at the Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prayers 9:15 am, Thursday, August 5, 2021, at the Funeral Home, proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois for Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Burial following at All Saints.
