Steven C Stringer, Jr, 55, of Randleman, NC, passed peacefully on Saturday, 21 October 2023, after a brave, two-year battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Stringer, Sr, and his sister, April. He is survived by his mother, Elaine Stringer, and wife, Jennifer Suzanne Stringer, both of Randleman, as well as sons, Isaac Stringer of Archdale, Robert Stringer of Pleasant Garden, and daughters Sarah Stringer of Charlotte, and Katie Stringer of the home, and grandson Oliver Stringer of Archdale. Steve touched so many lives, including his many aunts, uncles, cousins, his parents-and brother-in-law, baseball families, and friends.
Steve was a life-long resident of Randolph County. He was an active member of the Level Cross, Randleman, and Pleasant Garden communities, especially through Little League. He was formerly employed by Sears, Food Lion, and Harris Teeter. He was talented with tools, but best known for his love of people. He never knew a stranger and his personality lit up every room he entered. Family and friends know him as a proud Randleman Tiger, a studious and caring baseball coach, an avid fisherman, an entertaining storyteller, a passionate Seattle Seahawks fan, a loyal friend, and a loving and dedicated family man. He will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 1:00-4:00 pm at Hagan-Stone Park, Shelter #5, 5920 Hagan-Stone Park Rd, Pleasant Garden, NC 27313.
The family appreciate the care and dedication of his medical teams at Atrium Cabarrus, Atrium University City, and Hospice of the Piedmont during his illness. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his honor to Hospice of the Piedmont at hospiceofthepiedmont.org/donate, or to Emily's Kids Foundation at emilyskidsfoundation.org.
