Born on July 15, 1946, Mary was a beacon of strength and compassion, beloved by all who knew her. Despite battling Multiple Sclerosis, she remained a steadfast source of support and love, always prioritizing others even in her most challenging days.
Mary dedicated over two decades of her career to the Palm Beach County School Board, where she enriched many lives as an athletic director's secretary and teacher's assistant at Lake Worth High School. Her commitment to education and nurturing young minds was evident in her everyday interactions and the lasting impact she left on her community.
A devout participant in her faith communities, Mary was an active member at Good Shepherd United Methodist in West Palm Beach and later at First Wesleyan of High Point, NC. Her spiritual life was rich and fulfilling, participating in prayer groups, bible studies, and other church activities that reflected her commitment to her faith and community. Mary was an avid reader who cherished British soap operas and the simple joy of being outdoors, listening to the birds.
Her family was her world, and she spent countless precious moments with them, embodying the role of a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She leaves behind her daughters, Kelly Jackson-James and Tara Cecil, along with her son-in-law William "Doc" Cecil. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Mykenzie, Collin, Kaden, Jackson, and Abbie.
