Jamie was born in Guilford County on February 28, 1957 to Glenn D. “Buddy” Jones & Phyllis Burrow Jones.
He was employed by BB&T Commercial Finance where he volunteered with “The Lighthouse Project” for 9 years.
Jamie was an avid DUKE basketball fan. He enjoyed NASCAR Racing & target shooting, but his greatest joy was being “Poppie” to his grandson.
He attended Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting in Trinity for 23 years, where he was a member of Quaker Men & served on the Sound Committee for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father. Survived by his wife of 31 years, Patricia “Trish” Nooe Jones; daughter Kirstin Laurel Jones; grandson, Elliott Grayson Jones; mother, Phyllis B. Jones; stepmother, Martha J. Jones; brothers, Martin, Randy (Lisa) Timmy (Dana) Jones; stepsister, Paula Slate; stepbrother, Ronnie (Detria) Turner; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert (Marie) Nooe; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron (Gail) Nooe. Nephews & Nieces, Loren, Arden, Alex, Madeline, Carley & Mason Jones, Paula (Heath) Byerly and Jamie’s beloved dog, Riley and cat, Sam.
A Celebration of Jamie’s Life will be held at Poplar Ridge Friends with officiating ministers, Dave Mercadante and Randy Quate on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 3 PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Service in the fellowship hall.
