James was born in Dillon County, SC on January 27, 1941 a son to the late Joe Clark and Liney Jackson Clark. He married his loving wife Sara Childress on July 3, 1981. He was of Baptist faith and a fence builder for Morgan Fence Company before his retirement in 2000. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, James Michael Clark, several sisters and brothers.
Surviving are his wife, Sara Childress Clark; daughters, Angela Brower and husband Scott of Sophia, Robin Clark of High Point, Jennifer Samuels of Lexington; son, Tony Allen Clark of the home; sisters, Vera Rockett of Thomasville, Edna Mayner and husband Mark of Wallace, SC; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services of Archdale with Pastor Phillip Biggs officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday evening at the funeral home.
