Trinity- Hudson Grey Watkins, the 9 month and 10 days old fighting champ, decided to go take retirement in heaven with his grandma Bessie on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Brenners Children's Hospital in Winston-Salem.
Grey was born on May 8, 2019, in Forsyth County to Michaela Watkins. Although Grey’s time here was short, he was able to touch so many different people. He was a strong warrior, and no matter what, Grey always had a smile on his face.
His grandparents, Sonny Stafford, Bessie Stafford and Rev. Jesse Maynard, preceded him in death.
Grey is survived by his devoted mother, Michaela Watkins; brother, Asher Teaster; grandparents, Wendy Watkins, Michael Watkins; great-grandmother, Ruth Maynard; great-great-grandmother, Elizabeth Sutton; Special Aunt Amanda Southern and her husband Jeremy Southern; cousins, Riley Southern, Reed Southern, Raegan Southern; and several other special family members.
A funeral service for Grey will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services Archdale, 120 Trindale Road, Archdale, NC 27263. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. just prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point.
