Born in Duncan Ok his family moved to Huntington Beach when he was 8 yrs old.
He began his career as a truck driver after honorable discharge from the US Army.
He worked at Kaiser Cement in Lucerne valley for 18yrs
Lowell had a dream of owning his own business and in 1971 he started his own trucking firm in Lucerne Valley, CA.
His passion was flying and he was an avid pilot. He also loved his corvette and belonged to a corvette club for many years.
Later in life he enjoyed playing golf as a pastime.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Shirley Kitchens and his son Alan Kitchens.
He is survived by his son Charles " Chuck " Kitchens and his life partner Patty Kitchens. He has 5 grandchildren and 9 great grand children.
