The gift given to us Kyle Jeremiah Washington, 26, of Apple Valley, California, passed away the morning of July 24th, 2021, unexpectedly. Kyle was born at Saint Mary’s Medical Center on December 15th, 1994, at 3:30pm to Tona Davis and Randy Washington. Kyle did not cry he just looked around like “what the heck?” He was a good baby.
Kyle, or as many of us grew to know and love him as “Jeremiah,” was quiet, soft-spoken, slow to anger, easy to get along with, and willing to help anyone he could much like his grandfather. He was a smart and intelligent young man even as a young child always somewhere with his nose buried in a book, he was not a social butterfly, like his siblings he was in bed by 9:00pm and awake by 5:00am, Kyle Jeremiah was a homebody... he was not a party person; he despised social media and would never get a tattoo. Kyle loved his boxer Trevor Charles Washington, along with anything outdoors, he loved working on his truck or any car for that matter, he loved food, a cold beer and sweet ole country music.
Kyle played various sports since he was 7 years old and started playing city of Salem Virginia recreational basketball and baseball. Middle School Track & Field, Wrestling, and Football but Jeremiah LOVED Football. He played Offense and Defense on the football field as Running Back and Outside Line Backer. As his mother I must make a true confession, I did not want him playing football. However, I was at as many games as possible ringing my cowbells and cheering loudly and proudly from the stands or sidelines, “Run, baby, run” “Go Jeremiah GO” or “let's go Eagles, let's go”
Kyle graduated from Excelsior Education Center in June of 2013. Kyle was a CIF Football Champion of 2012, C.I.F. Student Athlete of the Year 2012, MVP winner, Eagle-Award winner, Gabrielson Fund recipient for Honor, Commitment and Excellence 2012. Kyle went on to receive an athletic and academic scholarship to Avila University (Eagles) in Kansas City, Missouri in 2013. Kyle completed 3 years of college then stayed in Missouri 3 more years while working in the trucking industry. He decided he would return home to the High Desert in 2019, where he worked in building construction as a Tile Setter and pursed entry into the Military.
Kyle loved and knew the Lord. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Leonard “Len” Davis, 12/2009. He is survived by his mother Tona Davis, older brother Caleb Washington, little sister Kory Washington, Grandmother Donna Davis, nephew Nolan Washington, father Randy Washington, uncles Michael and Terence Davis, and aunts Kyle Davis, who he was named after and is also his godmother) and Florence Davis and his girlfriend Laura Lopez.
Kyle leaves behind many cousins, great uncles and aunts and hundreds of friends from the West Coast to the East Coast. Kyle Jeremiah was loved, Kyle Jeremiah is loved, and Kyle Jeremiah will be truly missed... forever.
Kyle’s favorite scripture given to him from his Papa; 1 Corinthians 2:9 “No eye has seen, no ear has heard and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
Going Home Service will be held on August 14th, 2021 at 11 am viewing and 12 noon service at Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary located at 24000 Waalew Rd, Apple Valley, CA 92307. His mother, siblings, and family thanks everyone for all their kind words and prayers, love, support, and food at this sad time in our life.
Thank You,
Kyle Jeremiah’s Family
