John Henry Pedigo

John Henry Pedigo, of Apple Valley, CA peacefully departed this world on Feb. 21, 2024 at the Amazing Grace Hospice. Vineyard Residence. He was born Sept. 24. 1949 in Missouri & was the 6th born child of Lewis P. Pedigo and Mamie B. Pedigo. John graduated from Wellington School in 1967. He served in the U.S. Army As an Avionics Mechanic between 1969 -1974 awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal and Sharpshooter Rifle. After the service he moved to California. There he enjoyed snow skiing & motorcycle dirt bike riding & racing. He fell in love and married Ellen, and they became the love of each others lives. His last job was a lineman for Pacific Bell.

John was from a family of ten children. Mitchell P. Pedigo (deceased) wife Rose Pedigo, Darlene Wilson (deceased) husband David Wilson (deceased), Mary Anderson husband Gary Anderson (deceased), Leroy Pedigo (deceased) wife Delia Pedigo, Lewis Pedigo wife Sherry Pedigo, Don Pedigo wife Peggy Pedigo. Gary Pedigo wife Karen Pedigo. Vicki Shain husband Lynn Shain (deceased), Jerry Pedigo (deceased) wife Deana Pedigo-Medina, He has 24 nephews & nieces, also great nephews and nieces and two step sons Garrett Broome and Brandon Jones.

John & Ellen loved being together and spending time going to yard sales & goodwills.

A special acknowledgement extends to John’s caregivers & nurses during his final days. Their compassion was a true blessing.

John will be laid to rest alongside his wife at the Sunset Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary located 24000 Waalew Road Apple Valley, CA on Saturday March 16, 2024 at 11am. He did not want a funeral service. We are planning on a few memories of John together.
