He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn in July, his daughter Mary, his sister Nancy, and his parents Clara and George Purser. He is survived by his two sons, Mark (Sherri) Purser, and Kent (Holly) Purser, and his grandsons Chris (Jessica) Purser and Brian (Alex) Purser, and lastly his great grandchildren Weston, Hana, Cayden, and Lily Purser.
George and Marilyn were married for 62 years, until her passing in July of 2022. George and Marilyn are together again in heaven.
George was the best of friends with his sons and grandsons, enjoying car racing, motorcycle racing, and all sports.
George was raised in Glendale California, served his country in the Navy, attended California Lutheran University and Los Angeles Trade Tech, where he pursued automotive careers in industry and teaching.
George was an active member of the Shamrocks Off-road Motorcycle Club, shown here receiving Sportsman of the Year Honors from the club, in 2019. George was also part of many car racing teams, as a driver and mechanic, with his greatest memories coming from drag racing the last 20 years, with his son Mark, and grandsons Chris and Brian.
George and Marilyn were active members of many Lutheran churches and Lutheran organizations, finishing their retirement years at Trinity Lutheran Church in Victorville, California.
