Evelyn Herbeck was born to her parents the late Cora Bassett and William Herbeck in Hillsboro, WI on August 7, 1937. She was the youngest of 3 children and lived in Hillsboro until she married her husband, Larry J Eastman. They came to California a year later, deciding they were ready to live where it did not snow! Eventually she started what became her career in banking, even playing on the short lived bank baseball team, "Beverly's Angels".
She always wanted to help wherever she could and was a loving mother and wife. She was a devoted grandmother and great grandmother who never missed sending her love at every holiday and birthday. She imparted unconditional love and acceptance to each of her granddaughters. Decades after the first two grew up, she was blessed with twin granddaughters, Ellen & Eve just 6 years ago, with whom she lovingly played with even into her final months. She had a love of dogs and was determined that any (and every) stray that she found should have a home - with her! Didn't matter the size, it didn't matter the breed, that stray would have a home! After retiring in 1995 Evelyn volunteered with the Victor Valley Toys for Tots and was the Treasurer for the Thunderbirds Square Dance club for 21 years. She made an important impact on future generations through the love she showed to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, to the children in her community, and to animals in need.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Cora Bassett & William Herbeck, her sisters Annalou Fronk & Alice Hoffmeister. She is survived by her husband Larry J. Eastman, her son James Eastman and his wife Laura Eastman,, her daughter, Jill Eastman, her grandchildren, Cybil Archibald and her husband Jason Seigel, Lorraine Archibald and her partner Carmelo Cuna, Ellen Eastman and Eve Eastman, and her three great grandchildren Zoraida and Garion Seigel, and Palemón Cuna.
