James A. Wells, 77 of Apopka and formerly of North Hyde Park, Vermont, passed away on May 24, 2018. He was born in East Burke, Vermont on February 23, 1941. James served as a Deputy Sheriff in North Hyde Park for many years. He served proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart for his dedicated service. He also loved to play golf, write poetry, fly fish and had served as the President of the Vermont Chapter of the National Housekeepers Association. James was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, George and Robert and by his son John. He is survived by his loving wife, Emma; his children: Maria Miller, Leon Wells, Richard Wells, James Wells and Aaron Wells; his brother, Richard (Peggy) Wells Sr.; his 7 grandchildren, his 3 great grandchildren, his sister-in-law, Susan H. Wells, brothers-in-law, Robert (Donna) Bolio and Clifford (Annette) Bolio Jr. and by several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of James’ Life will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 2 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in Apopka, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of James.
