Jack Anthony Walton, 78, of Eustis, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025. Born on August 29, 1946, Jack led a life grounded in faith, service, and a profound devotion to his family and community.
Jack was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran who served honorably as a “Buck Sergeant” in finance during the Vietnam War. His military service exemplified his unwavering commitment to duty, integrity, and quiet strength, qualities that defined his life.
Jack was a devoted Southern Baptist and a dedicated Deacon of his church, where he served for many years. His greatest joy came from working with the youth ministry, where he instilled a deep love for the Lord and helped shape the moral foundation of countless young lives. His spiritual leadership and humble example left a lasting legacy within his congregation and beyond.
Beyond his service and ministry, Jack was a man of many passions. He loved the peaceful tranquility of fly fishing, the artistry of woodworking, and was a lifelong gun enthusiast. These hobbies brought him joy and connected him to others, as he was always willing to teach, share stories, or lend a helping hand in the workshop or at the range.
He is survived by his brother, Jerry Walton; his loving wife, Marjorie Walton; his daughters, Charlotte Gurley and Heidi McCulloch; and his three cherished grandchildren, Chyanne, Felicity, and Luke. Jack was a steadfast presence in their lives—a source of wisdom, strength, and unconditional love.
Those who knew Jack will remember his gentle spirit, strong convictions, and servant’s heart. Whether in uniform, in the pews, by the riverbank, or at his workbench, he led by example always seeking to uplift and encourage others.
Jack’s legacy of faith, service, and love will continue to shine through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
