Hubert Anderson

Hubert “Andy” Anderson, 91 of Leesburg, Florida passed away on September 3, 2017. He was born on October 5, 1925 in Geneva, Alabama. Andy always worked hard and he started his working life picking cotton. He would also work as a Sheet Metal Mechanic and used his skills to support his family. Andy enjoyed wheeling and dealing and was an avid car enthusiast. He loved to find the best bargain for himself and others as he helped find and finance cars. He was a wise investor and had a knack for dealing with money. The joy of his life was his family and he loved being a husband, father, brother and grandfather. Andy is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Mary; his daughters: Margaret Meehling and Debra Smith; his sister, Lassie Simpkins; his grandchildren: Laticia Cordell, William “Casper” Castill, Andrea Barroncini and Aaron Anderson and by his great granddaughters: Amanda Castill and Julia Cordell as well as by nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 5 from 6:30 – 7:30 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Apopka. A Celebration of Andy’s life will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel.
