William "Odell" Yates, 79, of Apex passed away Friday, June 9, 2017.
Odell was a self-employed land surveyor for over 26 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Casey and Lola Yates, and one sister, Jeanette Cash.
He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 60 years, Kay P. Yates; two daughters, Joanna Y. Palmer (Mark) and Donna Y. Cornette (Jackie); and three granddaughters, Rachel, Grace, and Hope.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Apex. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
