Bill was born in Hoboken, New Jersey on May 29, 1948 to the late William & Isabelle Schroeder. He grew up loving all things nautical and developing his passion for painting and sketching.
Bill’s love for all things nautical, led him to honor the United States of America as a “Coastie” in the Coast Guard. After his time in the Coast Guard, Bill continued his professional career as a draftsman and project manager for various design, engineering and pharmaceutical firms. In addition to his professional career, Bill was an avid artist and dedicated member of Colonial Baptist Church.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 26 1/2 years, Marlene ; daughter Jeannine Corey, her husband Chris, and grandsons Cameron and Colin; daughter Jillian Schroeder and granddaughter Nora; stepson Ronald David McKendrick; and, stepson Todd McKendrick, his wife Darla, and grandson Gavin.
The family will receive guests, Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 6:00pm – 7:30pm at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. Apex, NC 27502. A funeral service will be held on May 1, 2019 at 7:30pm also to take place at Apex Funeral Home.
