Vivian Marie Broll

Vivian Marie Broll, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love on March 25, 2025. Born on December 31, 1942 in West Virginia to the late Virgil Whittaker and Ruby (nee Burton), Vivian was known for her big heart and the joy she brought to the people around her.

Vivian had a knack for making everyone feel like family. She loved hosting get togethers whether it was holiday open house parties or a friendly get together with the neighbors to play cards. She loved her kitchen, would spend countless hours baking cookies, fudge, bread and other sweets that she handed out to anyone stopping by. Her gift baskets filled with homemade goodies became a holiday traditions so many looked forward to each year.

Outside of the kitchen you could find her playing bunko with her friends at IHOP or cards on Monday night. Vivian enjoyed the company around her. And if you lived nearby you might even find her taking long walks through the neighborhood, stopping to chat with friends and neighbors along the way. Vivian was the kind of person who always put people first.

She will be remembered for her kindness, selflessness, love of family and the way she made everyone feel special. She was a source of love and support. The memory of Vivian will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Vivian is preceded in death by her brother Lloyd Whittaker, and sister Jean Pratt.

She is survived by her loving family: her dedicated husband of 52 years Kenneth Broll; sisters Drema Burnett and Diane Bennett and brother Dennis Whittaker. Children Frank and Jason. Grandchildren Ashley, Dylan, Nicholas, Natalie and Davis. Great Grandchildren Carsynn and Kasey.

Services will be help on March 31, 2025 with a rosary at 10:30 and Mass at 11:00 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church 625 Magdala Pl, Apex, NC 27502
