I had the pleasure of meeting Tim for the first time during my interview at Impact. I was a nervous grad student and in walks Tim with that infectious smile, smiling from ear to ear. He was holding a clipboard with his interview questions and as he sat down he threw the clipboard across the table. He then looked at me and said, "They told me to ask you all of this junk, but I'm not. Let's just chat. Oh, and don't tell them that I didn't follow the rules." We both let out a cackle and I instantly knew Impact was the perfect fit for me. Sorry Tim for letting everyone in on our little secret lol. Tim was a great mentor and colleague and I could always count on him for a good laugh. My prayers are with Jenny and the entire Garver family. May you all find comfort and peace in knowing that Tim lived a life full of love and left an impact on all he encountered. 

Sending thoughts/prayers to Tim and his family.  Tim was a great manager and friend during my time at Lineberry Research Associates.   He had an amazing ability to understand the science of Pharmaceutical product development- especially in medical writing and regulatory strategy.  I always learned a lot from our discussions at work including our talks about College football (Penn State versus Notre Dame) and fun stories of life with young kids.  He was always supportive of taking time to spend time with family and keeping this as a priority.    He has had a big impact here in North Carolina and this will be continuing through his family/friends.

My best friend, my biggest supporter, and my hero. I have no idea how to navigate this life without you by my side, but the lessons you taught me will stick with me for my lifetime - like a tattoo on my heart. My heart aches thinking about experiencing any life event without you, but I know you will be with me every step of the way. 24 years was not long enough to have known you, but I don't think a lifetime would have been enough either. I love you so much, Dad! I promise to make you proud and be your walking legacy.

To the Garver Family - I am sending many thoughts and prayers to you all.  Tim was one of my first “real” supervisors and made an impact on me early in my career when he hired me to work at Lineberry Research.  Even though we worked together for only one year, Tim taught me a lot about the pharma industry and clinical research.  More importantly, Tim showed me that it was okay to laugh and have fun at work.  Tim’s work ethic and integrity stood out and I am grateful to have  worked with him.     

I’ve known Tim since 2001 when he first hired me at Lineberry.  He was my direct manager for my entire 8 years there and then for another 7 years again at Impact. Throughout those years he became far more than just a manager to me, he was a true friend and trusted mentor. He was always willing to listen and provide guidance, without any judgment. He was also fiercely loyal and would advocate and go to bat for me no matter what mistakes I might have made.        ——More importantly, Tim was such a fun person to be around (except, of course, on days after the Steelers suffered a loss!). He had a magnetic charisma and everyone flocked to him and wanted to be in on the ever present jokes and needling. Bob was no exception, looking forward to seeing Tim at various company functions even more so than I did (and making sure we got there early to claim a seat next to Tim and Jenny)! I have so many memories of being in Tim’s office and laughing out loud to the point of tears over the stories we would share. He had an infectious laugh that turned into a kind of cackle… it sucked you in and made you laugh even harder.——But nothing made Tim light up like talking about his family. He was such a devoted dad. He took tremendous pride in his kids’ accomplishments and also felt their struggles as though they were his own. It’s no surprise that he went above and beyond to accommodate me when I had kids of my own, supporting me as I tried to balance career and family life. My oldest son still remembers the very nice “Mr. Tim” from all the times I took him into the office with me.——Jenny, Dani, Nick, and Melissa, we are so deeply sorry for your loss. We feel very fortunate to have called Tim a friend. He will be sorely missed. His loss, as only Tim would say, “makes my hair hurt.”——Sending love and prayers,

Jenny my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. I was so heartbroken for all of you when I heard about Tim’s passing. The two of you are one of my favorite clients to see every month. Tim was truly one of the kindest people I have ever met and I always enjoyed chatting with both of you. If there is anything I can do please let me know. I will be praying for you and thinking about you all.

Tim's laugh and animated personality lit up the room. I remember interviewing with him and immediately feeling at ease - he was innately personable and had a knack for easing tension. He was unquestionably a passionate family man who loved his children with all his heart. One of my favorite memories of Tim was him walking into my office with my tiny dog Piper under one arm. He told me that he was taking her to go pick up lunch. I believe she spent rest of the day in his office. As much as he adamantly denied his affection for "rat dogs," it was clear that he had a big heart for all walks of life. I will remember Tim as a exuberant and fun-loving friend and professional who loved with his whole heart and pursued excellence in all endeavors.

Jenny and family, I truly cannot express my sadness in learning of Tim’s passing. All of us from 2 east are mourning with you. 

Tim was one of my best friends. Not just a friend to laugh and joke with, but a friend to greatly admire. He achieved so many incredible things in his life – professional achievements and personal achievements. He was so proud of Jenny, Dani, Nick, and Melissa. The thing I will remember him most for is the tiny moments. He loved talking about moments of human connection and he loved making a difference in people’s lives through the tiniest interactions. Tim had such an incredible lens on the world and he really valued the importance of a kind word or a kind gesture or a belly laugh. He loved laughing. I’ll forever miss my dear friend, my kids will miss “Papa Tim”, but I hope we all end up half as thoughtful, good-willed, and as wise as Tim. Love you, bud. 

Our hearts go out to the Garver family. Tim was one of the most loyal and giving people I have known.  I had the opportunity to meet the Garver’s through our daughters. They opened their arms to our family. He was so proud of his family.  Over the years,  I heard him excitedly talk about Dani’s determination and drive. I watched as he couldn’t hold back tears the day he dropped Nick off at college. Finally, I got to listen to him be the loudest fan at all of Melissa’s meets and competitions. He was always by Jenny’s side - especially on their long runs through Apex!  We were fortunate enough to take a trip together back to our old stomping grounds at PSU for a football game and cherish the memories it all brought back! I know he is watching over his family and can only hope he understands the impact he has had on those he surrounded. 

Nick was Tim's pride and joy.  We were blessed to attend Branch Night on December 2nd at NCSU to learn of Nick's branch assignment post graduation in May.  Nick got his first choice...the infantry...no surprise after all of his hard work in Army ROTC over the past 4 years.  Tim was so proud of Nick's hard work, his determination and devotion to serving our country.

We celebrated Dani's graduation from the Duke School of Nursing in December.  It was an amazing ceremony and our girl made us so incredibly proud.  Tim was especially tickled that our little Tar Heel earned her next degree from his beloved Duke University.  Shortly thereafter, Dani landed her dream job in the NICU back at UNC.  Once a Tar Heel, always a Tar Heel. 

Melissa's graduation was a wonderful time for our family. We could not have been more proud of her accomplishments and excited for her to embark upon her next chapter at UNCW.

Tim's pride in Dani, Nick, and Melissa was immeasurable.  He considered being their dad his greatest role and accomplishment.

My dad was such a remarkable and amazing man. He had the biggest heart and loved with everything. I will never forget seeing my dad in the stands at my cheer competitions and gymnastics competitions. He was always the loudest one there. I will never stop hearing his amazing laugh and seeing his bright smile. Our hearts are absolutely broken without him, but I know he is forever with me and my family. I will forever hold on to the lessons he taught me and the memories we were able to share. I know that everywhere I go in life, my dad will be right by my side. I love you, Dad and I promise to make you proud. 

My heart goes out to the Garver family.  I hope the happy memories offer some comfort in these difficult times. 
I am honored to have had the opportunity to know him as a colleague and a friend.
I will cherish the memories of Tim coming into work with so much energy in his formal printed shirts (which had the most interesting designs!).

I first met Tim when I was hired at Lineberry Research Associates back in the early 2000's.  After the company was sold, I worked as a contractor for a local pharma group.  One day Tim called me and asked if I would be willing to work with him, Mark Cierpial, and the staff at the recently formed Impact Pharmaceutical Services.  I was there for 7 years until my retirement.  I could not have asked for a more congenial, stable, supportive work environment.  It was a great way to end a career largely due to Tim and the management and staff at IMPACT.  Tim, you had a tremendous impact on the lives of so many people.  You will be greatly missed.  My sincere condolences to Jenny, Dani, Nick, Melissa, and your mother.
