Timmy Winston Davis

Tim was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Timmy Davis passed away on April 12, 2025. He was born in Durham, North Carolina, and was a long-time resident of Apex and Cary North Carolina. He was born on May 8, 1967, to Jimmy Winston Davis and Lois Maynard Davis.

Raised in Apex, Tim lived most of his adult life in Apex and Cary working as a Harley Davidson mechanic and any type of car you could name. He worked with his father at Durham Harley Davidson and continued to work with his father at J&D Cycles. He eventually branched out to work on cars and worked for Gurkan’s Downtown Auto Repair for many years with his brother Jim and had recently branched out to open a small mechanical business of his own.

He enjoyed being with his family and being the “Grill Master”. Tim also enjoyed life's simple pleasures and helping anyone he could. Tim was a big man with a bigger heart. He especially loved spending time with his many friends. He also loved Classic rock music and would listen to music for hours and could name any song or band.

Tim was predeceased by his mother Lois. Left behind to treasure his memory are his loving family: Father Jimmy Davis and 2nd Mother Gayle Davis; twin brother Jimmy Davis and sister Tammy Batchelor. Tim also left behind his extended family of three additional sisters and two brothers, Lisa and Jimmy, Shelia and Chris and Brenda. As well as his beloved Aunts, Uncle and many cousins.

Tim did not have any children of his own but loved his nephew Robbie and his great nieces Savannah and Hailey. He also loved his three great -great nieces Aubree, Alaiah and Damali. He also leaves behind many beloved friends.

Tim will truly be missed by many. A celebration of life and tribute will be held at 2:00 PM at Apex Funeral Home on Wednesday. April 16, 2025
