Thomas Knodle

Thomas Allen Knodle, 81 of Cary, passed away on October 31, 2022. Tom was born in Washington D.C. to the late Russell and Eleanor Knodle. He was a Navy Veteran and retired Computer Program Analyst for Prince George’s County Public School System.

He was preceded in death by his brother Russell Knodle, brother George Knodle, sister Carol Groat, and daughter Dayna Lynn Brenneman. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Knodle, sister Sherry and husband Tony Arch, sister Sandy Reno, daughter Robin Knodle, daughter Sharon and husband Tony Molden, son Darin and wife Lisa Blunt, son Michael and wife Kenyetta Blunt, 15 cherished grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren that filled his heart with joy.

His sense of humor was everlasting and will be remembered by all people that met him. Whether you knew him as Dad, Allen, Tom, “TK”, or Poppy, you were touched by his eagerness to know you. Sadly he has left us, but with faith we will be able to experience his humor and love again.

Family will receive friends and guests on Thursday, November 10th, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Apex Funeral Home with services at 2:00 PM. A graveside service will immediately follow at Wake Memorial Park in Cary.
