He was preceded in death by his wife, Herminia (Minnie) Bloominger, his father, Thomas Jefferson Bloominger, and mother, Estella Bloominger, Siblings; Bessie, Beatrice, Theda, Patricia, Winifred, Charlotte, Paula, Michael, and Charles. Thomas leaves behind to honor his life and memory his daughter, Louise B Chinn, sons Thomas (TJ) Jay Bloominger, and Anthony Bloominger, his grand children; Thomas Chinn and his fiancé Samantha Euker, Joshua Holsather-Chinn and wife Leslie Holsather-Chinn, Stephen Chinn, great granddaughter Waylon Jones, and Sister Harriet Doran. As well as many beloved, nieces and nephews and friends.
Thomas loved his country and was a proud veteran of the US Air Force serving 21 years before he retired in 1972. He served in various positions, notably as aircraft mechanic and his time working in missile silos at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Ca. In his retired years he enjoyed restoring antique jukeboxes & cash registers, working on cars, TVs, watches, clocks, etc. For leisure he loved to travel and enjoyed fishing. He never met a stranger. He made many lasting friendships in his life. He will always be remembered for his good sense of humor, captivating smile, and telling silly jokes and catchphrases.
He will be greatly missed and the void he leaves unfillable, but heaven is home now of that we can be assured.
A graveside service will be held with Military Honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter #3 in San Antonio Texas on July 5, 2023 at 10:30 AM.
