Samantha was born on September 21, 1984, in Morristown, New Jersey, to her parents, Karen and Peter Lawrence. She grew up loving animals, her friends, cheerleading, being driven around by football players, and trips to Vermont with her dad. Sam and her daughter, Danni, eventually planted roots in North Carolina. Sam has been known to help anyone in need, whether friend, foe, animal or stranger, so she took on more animals. Her bed was crowded at night.
She was passionate about country music, especially Luke Bryan, and viewed Dolly and Reba as her personal mentors. She was an avid writer, oftentimes spending a day, a night and the following day working on a story - page after page, with descriptions of where the story took place that harnessed the reader into the story. Her stories described unexplained phenomena, surprise Blessings and lessons learned. Good stuff.
Sam was a tad on the short side and so was nicknamed “Lil Bit.” Most importantly, her Bible was well-worn, as Lil Bit learned about the hope described therein.
Samantha is lovingly remembered by her mother, Karen Lawrence; her daughter, Danielle Feltwater; an unnamed angel; the Grevatt and Casper families; and five Jack Russells.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial donations may be made to The Asher House Sanctuary, founded by Lee Asher, whom Sam greatly admired. At the sanctuary, Lee brings abandoned dogs, cats and livestock to live and be loved as they deserve. His videos are at The Asher House Sanctuary, where you can make a donation in Sam’s name. All donations go to the care of the animals, are tax deductible and are greatly appreciated. https://www.theasherhouse.com/
