Robert T. Gardner Sr.

Robert T. Gardner Sr. age 82 went to be with his Lord on June 3, 2013. He was born January 30, 1931 in Summerfield, NC son of Frank and Maude (Moore) Gardner. He was predeceased by his wife Katherine Gardner (Brown).

Robert worked in the Telephone Industry as a purchasing agent for Black Industries in Durham, North Carolina before his retirement; he served our country in the US Navy during the Korean War. Robert was an avid fisherman and enjoyed following Nascar and watching golf. He also loved working on his farm and helping his wife Katherine in the yard.

He is survived by his son Robert T. Gardner, Jr.; his grandchildren Sullivan and Sawyer Gardner. Also surviving are brothers Max Gardner (Harriett), Brice Gardner (Coleen) and David Gardner (Kimpy) of North Carolina.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 4:00 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 5:00 PM at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church, 1334 Mt Pisgah Church Rd in Apex, NC with burial to follow the services at the church cemetery.
