Nancy F. Harring

Nancy was born in Passiac, New Jersey on February 7, 1937 to parents Everrett Freud and Hazel O’Hea. After graduating high school, Nancy went on to attend LaSalle Junior College in Pennsylvania. While there she was a member of the rowing team. She graduated in 1957 and married John E. Harring that same year. They later moved to Severna Park, Maryland for employment opportunities.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband John Harring and brothers Don and Jerry Freud.

Nancy will be loving remembered by her sons Robert (Cynthia) Harring, and Donald Harring, daughter Kimberlee (Dan) Stearns, grandchildren Christina (David) Austin, Holly (Jeremy) Godwin, David Harring, Steve (Virginia) Harring, Greg (Kirstin Reggio) Harring, Matthew Stearns, Shayna (John-Mark) Bolton and great-grandchildren Madisyn & Anthony Austin, Kellie Harring, Charlotte Godwin, Stearns & Rollins Bolton, and Caleb & Nicholas Harring.

Nancy loved spending time with family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to the beach, sewing, gardening, singing and cheering on the Baltimore Ravens. She was a longtime member of Chesapeake Harmony Chorus of Millersville, MD. While singing with the chorus, Nancy used her talent as a seamstress to make all of the chorus’ costumes for their performances. Nancy also volunteered for 25 years with Partners In Care, an organization dedicated to helping older adults live and thrive independently.

Services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. Apex, NC 27502
