She was born on July 10, 1943 to the late Mable and Joe Betts in Fuquay Varina. Marie and her husband established a successful hair salon in Fuquay Varina. Upon retirement, Marie enjoyed her carefree days at the beach. Marie had a passion for interior design and styling hair. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as well as her friends.
Marie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Kenneth Jeffries; son, Len Bryant (Shelly); step-son, Travis Jeffries; step-daughter, Tammy Lapsley; brother, Danny Betts; sister-in-law, Ellen Jacobs; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; cousin, Linda Theys; close personal friends, Virgie, Phyllis, Linda and Carol; and her beloved dog, Harley, who will miss her very much.
Family, friends and others whose lives Marie touched are invited to the funeral service 3pm Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St, Apex, NC 27502. Visitation will follow the service.
