Marc Allen Whyte

Marc Allen Whyte, 45, of Apex, NC died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Born October 30, 1965 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the loving son of Melvin (deceased) and Mimi Whyte of Sunrise, FL. A devoted husband and loving father, he was married on February 19, 1994 to his wife Cheri, who survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Hannah Whyte of the home; two sisters, Laura (Marc) Feinberg of Boca Raton, FL; Judy Whyte of Sunrise, FL; one brother, Steve Whyte of Miami, FL; eight nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives. He was the son-in-law of Don and Helene Ganobcik of Sanford, NC.

A resident of North Carolina for the past 12 years, Marc was a faithful member of Cary Church of Christ and was known for his good nature and his smile. He was the owner of MCH Carwash and Detailing, a member of the Apex Chamber of Commerce and was an avid drummer, having performed as an opening act for major bands in years past.

The family will receive guests at Apex Funeral Home on Saturday, March 26 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm on Sunday, March 27 at the Cary Church of Christ, 6640 Tryon Rd. in Cary, with the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Nathan Adams, Terry Thompson and Tom Genduso will officiate. Interment will follow at Wake Memorial Park.
