Lewis "Bud" Henry Simcox

Lewis was born in Youngstown, Ohio on July 6,1923 to James H. Simcox and Helen P. (Beight) Simcox.

He married Miriam Louise Peeler on May 31,1944 in Youngstown, Ohio. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Served as a Master Mason for 70 years. He was a founding member of Poland Masonic Lodge in Poland, Ohio, a longtime member of Piedmont-Pioneer Masonic Lodge in Winston-Salem, NC and the Hejaz Shriners of Winston Salem, NC. He had a career working in management for Standard Oil. He was an active member of Peace Presbyterian Church in Winterville, NC. He brought joy to everyone he met, loved to laugh and meant the world to his family. He was deeply loved and will be missed by many.

Lewis was preceded in death by his parents James & Helen Simcox, his twin sister, Louise Kolesar, brothers Harold & Bill Simcox, a sister Twila Powell and grandson Brandon Stull.

Lewis is survived by his wife of 75 years, Miriam Simcox, 2 sisters, Mary Jane Williams and Ida Mae Metz, his son Dennis C. Simcox, daughters Janis L. Gorman and Lou Ann Kruse (Daryl), nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
