Larry Alan Wood, 67, of Cary, passed away peacefully at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham. He was born in Wake County, NC to the late James F. Wood and Minnie J. McIver Wood. Alan was a graduate of Cary High School class of 1966 and a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army. He was also a graduate of Wesleyan University. Alan was employed with Harlow-HRK Sales and Marketing, Inc., retiring in August 2014.
Alan was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Field Wood.
He is survived by his sisters, Carol Edwards of Raleigh and Ann Wood Ross and husband, Tim of Clayton; nieces, Cindy and Kelly; and nephew, Travis.
A service of celebration will be held on 12:00pm Monday, October 26, 2015 at Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC. The family will receive friends 11am-12pm prior to the service at the funeral home and following the service at his home. Burial will follow the service at Apex Cemetery.
