John (Jack) R. Miller, 85, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away peacefully on Friday, December 16, 2022.
Born and raised in Springfield, MA to the late John and Helen Miller, Jack attended Classical High School, joined the US Navy and obtained a degree in Accounting from American International College. Jack cultivated a successful CPA practice in Springfield and eventually retired to Florida in 2010.
Jack had a strong work ethic that he instilled in his children along with an enjoyment of long, relaxing dinners with friends and family. Jack often worked seven days a week in the vocation that he loved but also took time for summer vacations on Cape Cod, and the coasts of Maine and Florida.
He is survived by his sister Mary Ellen Joyal of Wilbraham, MA; brothers Ernie of Boynton Beach FL and Jimmy of Springfield, MA; son Steve Miller, daughter-in-law Lori and their sons Wyatt and Owen of Cary, NC; and daughter Beth Miller, son-in-law Jeff Weeks and granddaughter Hannah of Ranson, WV. Jack was predeceased by his partner John Shields originally of Gloucester, MA.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be donated to Transitions LifeCare hospice.
