Jean Shelton Boettger

Jean Shelton Boettger, 76, formerly of Richmond, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Born on January 11, 1939 in Stanton, Virginia; she was the daughter of the late Frank and Attaleene Holt Shelton.

Jean retired from the Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles as an accountant after many years of service. She enjoyed reading, music, jigsaw puzzles, spoiling her kids, spending time with family and friends, the beach and the mountains, church and studying God’s word.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband: William E. “Bill” Boettger; son: William E. Boettger, Jr. and wife Jessica Boettger; daughter: Joan E. Pearce and husband Brett Pearce; stepdaughter: LeAnn Mather and husband Marty Mather; step-son Craig Boettger and wife Patty Boettger; and other family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church (3217 Piney Grove Wilbon Road. in Fuquay -Varina), officiated by Pastor Steve Gordon. Family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
