He is survived by his wife, Cat, daughter Anna and son Howie. He is also survived by his parents, George and Deanna Lewis of Boerne, Texas, his sister and her husband, Dana and Max Irvin of Houston, Texas, his wife's sister and her husband, Cyd and David Ferris of Ponte Vedra, Florida, and a multitude of friends whom he considered family. He was preceded in death by his sister Catherine Lewis and best friend Vince Michaels.
Howard was a man of God who created community wherever he went. He was the ultimate host and chef, serving others to the glory of God! Everyone he met became a friend, nay, a family member, as he shared his enormous giving spirit with all! He was larger than life with an authentic laugh and booming voice which commanded every gathering, party, room and meeting he entered. He was the life of the party and loved people with reckless abandon. He was fully devoted to his wife Cat, daughter Anna and son Howie, the joys of his life!
There is a huge void that he's left in his wake, and let's just say that God must have needed him pretty badly, because we can't imagine life without him.
