She was born on July 18, 1952, in Kaneyama Gifu, Japan, to the late Tomikichi Koketsu and Utako Koketsu.
Fukuyo’s life was marked by a quiet strength and a profound kindness that touched everyone she encountered.
She never spoke negatively of others and always sought the good in them—a reflection of her deep empathy and unwavering belief in the goodness of people.
Her passing leaves a significant void in the lives of her family and friends. Those who knew her will remember her for her love, courage, selflessness, and enduring kindness.
Fukuyo made the world a better place simply by being herself, and her legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Albert Bryant of Apex; her son, Michael Tai Bryant of Apex; her daughter, Crystal Miki Bryant of Cary; and her grandson, Ben Brown of Cary.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Apex Funeral Home Chapel.
