She was born on September 19, 1927, in Lee County, North Carolina, to the late Jimmy and Tamar Harris.
Elizabeth, the second of six children, grew up in Haywood, a small rural community in Chatham County. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Robert Olive, and together they raised six children. She cherished the Sunday dinners where her children and grandchildren gathered at her home. Her southern-style meals were always a highlight of these family gatherings.
