Eddie was born November 6, 1962 in Greensboro, NC and lived and grew up in Apex, NC. He was a graduate of Apex High School and attended Wake Tech Community College. Eddie was an entrepreneur and owned several businesses to include landscape maintenance, and in recent years, had his own hotdog stand. He was known as Mr. Eddie the "Hotdog Man".
He was preceded in death by his father, Jim D. Lyons.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Tammy Batchelor; mother, Mary Kathleen Lyons; brother, Jimmy Lyons (Monica); sisters, Othella Wells (Robin), and Rowena Ball (Bruce); two nephews; and two nieces; and many great nieces and nephews; two grandchildren, Savannah Batchelor and Haley Batchelor; and one great grandchild, Aubree.
A funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC 27502. Burial will follow at Wake Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 10am-11am prior to the service.
