Diane was born on March 10, 1945 in Buffalo, New York. She was the cherished daughter of Cardozia and Viola Marshall. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her beloved sisters Linda Holland and Thelma Marshall.
Diane was educated at East High School; she was a creative soul with a vibrant spirit. During her high school years, she founded the Sorority Lota Theta Phi, which became known for their performances, including a memorable appearance on the Tommy Shannon Show, where they showcased their dance, for the song "The Pony Shuffle". Her love for dance was a hallmark of her personality, and she continued to express it throughout her life.
In 1964, Diane married Sylvester Cleary, and out of that union came her pride and joys, Kevin Cleary, Kimberly Clearly, and Kelley Medley.
On July 1, 1969, Diane made a pivotal move, embracing her faith and dedicating her life to Jehovah, symbolizing that dedication in baptism. Her commitment to her beliefs was evident in her volunteer work. Wherever she went, while shopping and traveling, she generously shared her faith and helped those around her learn about Jehovah God. Her encouragement to others always centered around Jehovah's promises now and in the future. Diane's life was a Testament to love of her God Jehovah, dedication to her family, strong work ethic and community service.
Diane continued her pursuit of knowledge at various trade schools, leading her to a distinguished career. She dedicated many years to American Optical/Reichert Technologies, a maker of ophthalmic instruments, before retiring as a Surgical Supply Technician from Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.
Diane was a classy lady with a sweet and kind but firm disposition. She loved to travel, explore new places, and befriending many around the world. She was known as mom to many. Her favorite past time was gardening. Diane found peace and solace in nurturing her plants, which mirrored her nurturing nature towards her family and friends.
