Courtney Sales Frye of New Hill, North Carolina entered heavenly rest on Saturday, March 19, 2022. She was 41 years old. Courtney was born on October 30th, 1980 and was raised by her parents in El Paso, Texas.
Courtney attended Loretto Academy, Zach White Elementary, Lincoln Junior High, and Franklin High. While in school, Courtney excelled in both academics and athletics. A member of the National Honor Society, Courtney passionately dedicated herself to scholarship. With diligence, she graduated from Franklin a full semester early at the top of her class. Courtney earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with Highest Honors in December 2002.
Courtney lived a remarkable life, full of passion, dedication, and accomplishment. She was a treasured member of both the Franklin Varsity Track and Cross-Country Teams and helped lead them to strong District and Regional finishes during her time there. Admirably, her determination led her to both Junior Nationals in 1998 and a 2nd place finish in her age group at the 1999 Seattle Marathon.
Her genuine aspiration for helping children led to her elected field of study, but it was her sparkling and vivacious personality that ultimately led to career in Recruiting. Courtney began as a recruitment officer at Roth Staffing Company, and recently served as the Director of Client Delivery for Genius Talent. Most impressively, however, was the fact that Courtney was the Founder of REAL Recruiting Resources, LLC.
Courtney’s spare time was filled with her passion for cooking, dogs, cats, horses, writing poetry, laughing, dancing, nurturing her friendships, smelling all the perfumes, exercising and above all, parenting and her faith in God. Courtney and Jeff were active members of HOPE Community Church, fostering her love of God.
Courtney’s greatest treasure is her son, Liam Jack Frye. She dedicated every bit of her radiant soul to raising her magnificent son. He is a product of her unconditional love and light. He will continue to be loved and supported by all those who love Courtney.
Courtney is survived by those who loved her. Her memory and legacy will live on through her son Liam Jack Frye (Rick, Miles, Max), her fiancé Jeffrey Cook, her mother Eleanor Copeland, her father Dr. Jack Sales, and her two sisters, Cara Sales Hegge (Johnathan and Jack Ryder) and Joy Sales Colquitt (Tony and Kellum).
Courtney was pure sunshine. Her smile could instantly fill a room with warmth and acceptance. Courtney’s persona put you at ease and let you know that she thought the world of you. Her love and laughter made children feel important and that they mattered. She had a presence in a room that will be forever unmatched.
Courtney Sales Frye lived a life that will be remembered. Her heart will beat again through your actions of love and kindness. Keep an eye out for Red Cardinals, rainbows, butterflies, and miracles. They, along with her beautiful son Liam, will be Courtney’s legacy.
