Connie was born in Decatur, IL to the late Ellis Roy Byard and Dorothy Marietta Forman Byard. Connie graduated from Macon High School and attended Southeastern Louisiana College. She had a career in the banking industry for many years before becoming a homemaker. Connie enjoyed serving at church and singing in the choir. Her hobbies included sewing, crafting, bowling, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Gary Dean Byard and Bruce Alan Byard.
Connie is survived by husband James "Jim" C. Myers; daughter Stacy Robinson (Jamie), grandchildren AJ and Matthew of Apex, NC; son Jason Myers (Crystal), grandchildren Elijah, Emily, and Lela of St. Louis, MO; sister Kay (Carroll) Scrogin of Moweaqua, IL; brother Stan (Kathy) Byard of Moulton, TX.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Colonial Baptist Church, 6051 Tryon Road, Cary, NC 27518. The family will receive friends at 1pm and also at a reception immediately following the service. Burial will follow at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens in Fuquay-Varina, NC.
