I certainly didn't know Conner - I only know John having worked with him for a couple years - but I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. I can't begin to imagine what you must be feeling, but I hope you're able to find some comfort in the pictures and comments here from folks who did know and love Conner. He must have been an amazing young man to have touched the lives of so many in his short time here. I'm so sorry about your loss of Conner.  Although distance didn't make it possible for us to know him, the memorials and pictures here were such an amazing tribute to someone who we could tell loved his family and friends and who loved him with all their hearts.  His smile was infectious, I'm sure, since I smiled while looking at them.

Hold each other close and keep sharing stories of him over the years, so he will always be remembered.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Conner. How difficult these times must be for you.
I remember meeting Conner when he was quite young. I stayed at your house for a few days while job searching. At that point, Conner wasn't talking yet, that's how long ago it was. But, nonetheless, we had fun together, clowning around and giving him and your other kids piggy back rides.

We met Conner in 2011 when he was in kindergarten with our son, Jake. They were the best of friends and in the same class K-5. So many birthday parties, sleepovers, and adventures over the years. So many wonderful memories. 
In middle school and HS, the friend group widened and included a great group of boys. When they weren’t socializing in school and out, they were online playing games together. 
Our heart is broken. We will miss Conner.

Dear Conner, 

Getting to be your sister was the greatest privilege in the world. From the moment you were born, you changed my life for the better. You were so kind, so humble, so adorable, so funny, so intelligent, and so fun to be around. It is truly impossible to pick a favorite memory with you because I have 20 years worth of them, so I will always remember 2004-2024 as the best years of my life because they are the only ones I got with you.

I remember how you called me “Badison” as a toddler because you couldn’t pronounce the “M” yet, and the whole family laughed every time, so you kept using it even when you could say it correctly. Even from a few years of age, you showed that level of love and empathy to do whatever you could to make us laugh and bring us joy. 

You truly had the most gentle soul and so much love to give. You were so ambitious and excelled at every new skill or hobby you tried. I looked up to you so much, and not just because you were taller. The world will forever lack the contributions you undoubtedly would’ve continued to make here.

I’ve found old journal entries I wrote in 1st grade professing my love for you despite the fact that I couldn’t even spell yet. I wish I could show them to you now because I know you would laugh at how sappy I was even back then. I would do anything to hear you laugh again. I remember writing about you all the time in school growing up; every single personal narrative or slice of life featured you prominently. My favorites were all the family vacations we shared– especially the road trip where you forgot to wear or pack shoes. That memory kept us laughing and joyful year after year and forever will.

I love you with all my heart and will forever cherish the times we had together. Thank you for being the best little brother and friend. Thank you for all you gave the world and all the lives you touched.

I have so many fun memories of time spent with Conner but this picture is one of my favorites. Such a beautiful day summiting Mt. Quandary together. I’ll never forget Conner literally sprinting up the last 500 feet leaving us all in the dust. I’m so thankful for the time I spent with you and our many adventures; whether it be a 5k run, a climb, or an amusement park. Rest in peace my dear nephew. I love you

Dear Foley Family,

Thinking of you during this devastating time.  Connor was a super kid and I know how much he will be missed.

My favorite memory of Connor, was 5 years ago when we all met up at MaryAlice and Denny's for Thanksgiving.  It was a lovely Florida day (The Sunshine State) and especially beautiful at Mary
Alice and Denny's home.  They have a large enclosed lanai with a swimming pool.  A group of us decided to play some water volleyball in their pool.  We had a blast spiking, digging and setting!  We were a group of competitive athletes having a "party in the pool!".

My heart is with all of you.

P.S.  I Love You

I’m heartbroken.  Conner was in my English class during his senior year at Apex.  He was always  had genuinely thoughtful and insightful comments.  He was also kind to everyone and helpful. I recently showed my students a video that he made with classmates. I am praying for your family.

Conner, you were one of my best friends and I miss you every single day. I miss all the times you taught me about UFC and Poker and I taught you about the NBA. I miss all the laughs we shared together about the dumbest things, you never failed to make me smile. I loved you like a brother and I’ll never forget you. It is a far, far better rest that you go to, than you have ever known :)

John, I'm so sorry for your loss.  I'm a loss for words. We are praying for your family.
