Charles Edward Tunstall

Charles Edward Tunstall, 76, of Apex died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Mr. Tunstall was born on June 9, 1936 in Wake County to Charlie Cleveland Tunstall and Catherine Ruth Smith Tunstall.

Mr. Tunstall is survived by his stepchildren: Janie Powell Baker and husband, Ronald of Fuquay Varina, Leah Kaye Powell of Raleigh, and David Ray Powell and wife Diane Balderson Powell of Apex; grandchildren: Earl Horton, Ryan Tutor, Jana Askeland, Jason Powell, Joel Powell, Rachael Powell, and Rebecca Powell; and a great grandchild, Katie Tutor.

Mr. Tunstall is predeceased by his wife, Ruth Lasater Tunstall.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, July 6, 2012 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St., Apex.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, 1802 Old US Hwy 1, Apex, NC 27502. Burial will follow in Apex Cemetery.
