Charles E. Batchelor

Charles E. Batchelor, 75, died Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Rex Hospital. Born on April 20, 1939 at the family home in Green Level; he was the son of the late Charlie and Rachel Batchelor Hatley. He was predeceased by his wife Linda, son Steven and granddaughter, Jessica.

Charles graduated from Apex High School in 1957 and owned and operated Batchelor Water Well Drilling Company until his retirement.

He is survived by his son: Eddie Batchelor and wife, Johnnie; daughter: Lynn Jones; four grandchildren: Robbie Batchelor, Charlie Johnson, Madaline Stephenson and Stacey Wood; seven great-grandchildren: Savannah, Hailey, Autumn, Austin, Baymon, Braxton and Daniel; and sisters: Sue Crabtree and husband, Jimmy and Ruby Durham and husband, Clarence.

Family will receive friends on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 12-1 PM at Apex Funeral Home (550 W Williams St), with Funeral Services to begin at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Green Level Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Green Level Baptist Church (8509 Green Level Church Rd, Cary, NC 27519).
