Cecelia Ann Roundy

Cecelia Ann Roundy, 73 of New Hill, North Carolina passed away peacefully on February 27, 2023 with her sister by her side. Cecelia was born on June 1, 1949 to Ruth and William "WT" Roundy at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC.

Her young life was spent in New Hill,NC. After Cecelia graduated from Apex High School in 1969, she went on to study as a Certified Nursing Assistant. After completion of her schooling, she worked at several hospitals in the triangle area, including the Duke VA Hospital, and UNC Hospital. She also performed home health care for several local families, providing comfort and care at their end of lives.

Cecelia was a generous spirit. She was devoted to her Church, her family, her friends and her animals. She never forgot a person’s birthday and was willing to help her community in any way she could.

Cecelia was predeceased in death by her father, WT Roundy, Jr. who was a shining light in her life. She is survived by her dear mother, Ruth Slaughter Roundy; her brother, Steve Roundy and wife Menam; a sister, Loretta Roundy Young; 3 nephews; 3 nieces; 3 great nephews and 3 great nieces and many well-loved cousins.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM at New Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 3700 Old US 1 Hwy, New Hill, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hill Baptist Church.
