Brian C. Moyer, age 50, passed away suddenly November 30, 2021, at Duke University Hospital. Born December 15, 1970, in South Plainfield, New Jersey to Clark and Kathleen Moyer. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncle and father-in-law.
Brian was a graduate of Manchester High School(1989) in Akron, Ohio and Hiram College(1993) in Hiram, Ohio, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. After college, Brian met and married his best friend and love of his life, Kathy Wilson Moyer on March 11, 2000.
Brian was a dedicated father and husband first and foremost. He treasured his family and embraced every moment with them. He had an uncanny ability to connect with people and made friends everywhere he went. He enjoyed making people laugh in person and online and will be fondly remembered for Chip Dude and for his crazy ability to recall every funny line from Seinfeld and the Office.
Brian worked in Sports Marketing, most recently as a Managing Director, Market and Media Research at NASCAR where he worked for over 15 years before moving to Apex, North Carolina. Upon moving to Apex, Brian semi-retired to spend time with his family, but on the side, Brian started ProjectPal Apex, his “hobby”, that allowed him to design and install landscape lighting for friends and neighbors.
Brian was an avid soccer fan and played soccer in high school and college. Another love of Brian’s was music and playing drums with his son Anthony. Everyone who knew Brian knew his favorite band was Van Halen. He truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting, eating at Portillo’s, and spending time with his wife and kids.
He is survived by his wife of 21 celebrated years of marriage, Kathy Wilson Moyer; one daughter, Elisabeth Rae Moyer; one son, Anthony Clark Moyer; parents Clark and Kathleen Moyer of Fort Myers, Florida; sister, Jacquie (Dave) Moyer-Wolfe of Akron, Ohio; mother-in-law, Charlene Wilson of Dover, Ohio; brother-in-law, Brian (Jodie) Wilson of Somerville, New Jersey; along with a niece, nephews and cousins who were very special to him.
