Betty Watkins McGuire

Betty Watkins McGuire, age 73, of Apex, North Carolina passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. She was born to the late Mr. Milton Wiley Watkins and Mrs. Ruby George Watkins, on May 30, 1950. Betty spent most of her life in Morrisville, NC and enjoyed her life long career as a cosmetologist. She took pride in making everyone beautiful, but most of all she loved her family with every ounce of her being.

The family of Betty will hold a visitation for family and friends on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W Williams St, Apex, NC 27502. A graveside service will occur Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Sorrell Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 210 Sorrell Grove Church Rd, Morrisville, NC 27560.

Betty is survived by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" McGuire; son, Dewayne Sessoms; daughters, Shelly Smith (Mike), Tina Dotson (Noel), and Robin Boles (Mark); grandchildren, Christopher Sessoms, Dalton Sessoms, Anthony Sessoms, Dillon Davis (Elisha), and Sydney Davis; a great grandson, Lucas Davis; brother, Bobby Watkins, Sr.; nephew, Bobby Watkins, Jr.; and nieces Lisa Wilmarth (Paul) and Tammy Smith.
