Amanda "Mandy" Rose Lemmon

Amanda Rose Lemmon, 22, of Wilmington, NC, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014. Mandy was born July 30, 1991 in Rochester, NY. She was a 2009 High Honors graduate of Harnett Central High School and a 2013 graduate of UNC Wilmington. She was preceded in death by her Grandfathers, Luther N. Lemmon and James R. Tarnowski.

Mandy is survived by her parents, Donald E. and Ellen R. Lemmon of Apex; Grandmothers, Mary L. Lemmon and Moira E. Tarnowski; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; too many friends to count, in every state she lived in.

Mandy was always a champion for the underdog, and a collector of strays, both 4-legged and 2-legged.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2014 at Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to the ASPCA of Wake County in Mandy’s name.
