Addison Carrolline Tompkins, age 7, passed away with her family at her side at Duke University Medical Center. A 2nd grader at Herbert Akins Road Elementary School, she was the loving daughter of Wanda Carroll Tompkins and Ron Trombley, of Holly Springs and David Tompkins, of Raleigh and the little sister of Devin Tompkins.
Addison was a very caring and outgoing person. She never met anyone she didn’t like and she was loved by all. She cared for her family and friends and always put their needs in front of hers. Addison always loved making people smile and laugh. She was a girly girl but at the same time she was as tough and as brave as they came. Ways of describing her are endless. Simply put, she was the most beautiful and perfect daughter anyone could ever have and she will be missed deeply and always. She will always be loved her family, and her by them, infinity and beyond.
Addison is also survived by her nana, Dorothy Carroll. Aunts and uncles include RJ and Sharon Tompkins, Sonya Tompkins-Baer, James and Tammy Triglianos, William and Joan Thomas, and a host of aunts and uncles from her Trombley family. She is also survived by a countless number of other family and friends that will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held at Fuquay-Varina United Methodist Church (100 Judd Parkway) on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 1-3 pm, with Funeral Services beginning at 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please give in her memory to Duke Children's PICU – 710 W. Main Street #200 – Durham, NC 27701 (in memo line - PICU) or www.dukechildrens.org/giving designated to PICU.
