Kim was born on April 16, 1935. She grew up in a small community outside Seoul, Mu Gung Hwa, meaning “Rose of Sharon” which is the Korean national flower. Kim met her husband Stanley, while he was stationed in the U.S. Army, and she moved with him to the United States (Anoka, MN) in 1957. She worked for over 35 years at Federal Cartridge and worked hard to sponsor her sister’s family’s immigration to America. She was an active member of the local Korean Women’s Association, where she attended many social gatherings and made many friends. Kim loved music and she especially loved to sing and dance.
Her zest for life and kindness will be her legacy.
