Dorothy Ann Mueller, 87, beloved wife of Theodore Mueller, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Mercy Hospital, Anoka, Minnesota. Dorothy was born on September 26, 1937, at Deaconess Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
A graduate of Central High School in St. Paul, Dorothy attended college at the University of Minnesota, to become a medical technician. It was there where she met her first husband, Kenneth Nordberg, and were married on September 19, 1958. They had five children together.
Beginning in 1979, Dorothy worked as a realtor, where she later met her husband, Ted Mueller. They married in Las Vegas, on January 28, 1983. They later moved to Arizona.
Dorothy was a devoted Avon lady for more than 15 years, and earned many sales awards for her efforts. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, and WAMSO (Minnesota Orchestra Volunteer Association).
Dorothy particularly loved visiting casinos wherever she traveled. She also enjoyed bingo, trivia, jigsaw puzzles, reading, playing Sudoku, and many card games.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore J. Mueller; parents, Carl and Madge Hedquist; sister, Lejla McDonald; brothers, Gale Hedquist and Lowell Hedquist.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Peggy (Doug) Foster, John (Beth) Nordberg, David (Lindsay) Nordberg, Kenneth (Susan) Nordberg, Katrina Sopcyk, Jeffrey (Jane) Mueller, Jennifer (Richie) Kollar, Claudia Mueller, Beth Mueller, and Paul Mueller; sisters-in-law, Patricia Shierts-Keller, Judith Wilkinson and Ann Mueller; dear friend, Lorene Ann Brunelle. Dorothy was a caring grandmother to 24 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, January 12, 2025 at First Congregational Church of Anoka – 1923 Third Avenue South, Anoka, MN – with Visitation 2:00 pm until time of service.
Dorothy will be interred next to her beloved husband at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
