Carolyn Jean Ingwersen

Ingwersen (Rudberg), Carolyn Jean, 78, of Champlin passed away peacefully in her home after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Carolyn was born at Fort Snelling on November 3, 1944 to Lester and June Rudberg. She grew up in Golden Valley, MN and graduated from Robbinsdale High School. She spent many fondly remembered summers in her youth at the cabin on Lake Sylvia near Annandale, MN and many cherished winters later in life in Bonita Springs, Florida where she enjoyed sitting on the Lanai sipping a glass of wine, going to Doc’s Beach House and the Bubble Room on Captiva Island. She loved Easter sunrise services, Christmas, traveling, playing cards, garage sales, antiquing and reading autobiography books or celebrity magazines. She preferred classic movies and television shows such as Gone With The Wind and I Love Lucy. She loved sports, fantasy football, and was especially passionate for the Minnesota Vikings. Her favorite Viking memory was being at Metropolitan Stadium in an ice-cold blizzard when Ahmad Rashad caught a game winning Hail Mary pass thrown by “Two-Minute Tommy” Kramer.

Ms. Carolyn and her soulmate husband Larry were blessed to have many years together, to have traveled together and to have many great friends. Colleen and Marlene have been Carolyn’s friends since her school days. She was also blessed with a wonderful family: children Tracy (Brian), Jay, Tammy, and Jeff; grandchildren Jeffrey, TJ, Sara, and Tyler (Amanda) with newborn great grandson Asher Ray; brother Paul (Kym) and niece Anna; brother Neal (Irene) and nephew Nathaniel; Nephew Rob (Sue) and great niece Monique (Cade) and great great niece Elara.

Ms. Carolyn will be remembered for being loving, kind-hearted to all, giving and witty. She said she felt God’s arms around her and she is with God now.
