William ‘Bill’ Hilder Johnson, age 94, of Andover, MN, formerly of Ramsey and Brooklyn Center, died peacefully at home May 28, 2024. Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Rita. Survived by son, Nathan (Judy); daughters, Diane, Susan, Sandra (Dan), Karen (Colin); 12 grandchildren, Misty, Allison, Jamie, Rachel, Kristie, Kara, Erik, Richelle, Spencer, Jessalyn, Megan, & Mackenzie; 19 great grandchildren Alexander, Kailee, Nolan, Rolf, Owen, Luke, Kate, Bennett, Ruth, Aaron, Noah, Ryan, Tanner, Parker, Dakota, Bailey, Tarek, Lianna, Ronan; brother James & many friends. Bill was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a proud Marine Corps veteran who served in the Korean War, former Director of Brown Institute in Minneapolis, & actively involved in his church & other community activities. Bill was a man of many talents who would tackle any project & gave generously of his time to numerous activities, including his beloved gardens. His life was a bright example of generosity, wisdom, love, sacrifice & responsibility. He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched. Funeral service, Tuesday June 4th, at 11am at Lord of Life Church (14501 Nowthen Blvd NW, Ramsey, MN) Visitation Monday, June 3rd, 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home (552 East River Rd. Anoka) & 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in NE Mpls. Memorials to your preferred charity.
