Barbara was born in 1931 in Clinton Iowa and was the sixth of eight children born to Thomas Herrity and Ruth (McClintoc) Herrity. Barbara graduated from St. Mary's High School in Iowa in 1949 and went onto graduate from Ambrose College in Davenport Iowa in 1952 with a degree in nursing. Barbara was a registered nurse in Iowa and also in Minnesota where she also taught at St. Mary's School of Nursing in 1963.
Her strong faith and love of the Mother Mary guided her and this could be seen in the warmth and kindness she gave to all she met. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched."
Preceded in death by her Husband, Leo; and Son, John.
Barbara leaves behind a son, Joseph Kemper, a daughter in law, Heather Abel Kemper; Grandchildren: Gabriel (18), Evelyn (15) and Hera (8) and many nieces and nephews.
